Procedure

Weigh coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter into a heat-safe bowl.

Melt in a water bath at 70 - 75C until fully liquid.

Remove from heat. Cool slightly to ~55C.

Add Vitamin E and peppermint flavor oil. Stir well.

Pour into lip balm tubes or tins immediately.

Allow to cool and harden completely before capping. Label and date.
Tips & Notes
- •This sets very fast, so pour into tubes quickly after adding the flavor.
- •More beeswax creates a firmer balm. Reduce to 18-20% for a softer balm.
- •Completely water-free, so no preservative or pH check is needed.
- •This formula stays within the guide limits for wax, butter, and flavor in a beginner balm.
