Formuley LLC is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that every cosmetic formulator deserves equal access to the tools they need to manage their formulations, track costs, and grow their business.
Formuley is committed to digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We strive to provide an inclusive experience that allows all users to navigate, understand, and interact with our platform effectively, regardless of how they access the web.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort at Formuley. We continuously work to identify barriers, implement improvements, and test our platform with assistive technologies to ensure the best possible experience for all users.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), provide a shared standard for web accessibility that meets the needs of individuals, organizations, and governments internationally.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA covers a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible. Conformance with these guidelines helps ensure that our platform is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for the widest range of users, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation.
We have implemented the following accessibility features across the Formuley platform:
We provide skip navigation links on our primary marketing, authentication, and application routes so keyboard users can jump directly to the main content area without tabbing through repeated navigation first.
Our pages are built with semantic HTML elements, including proper use of landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), a logical heading hierarchy, and tables with appropriate scope attributes. This structure helps assistive technologies interpret and present content meaningfully.
We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes to enhance the accessibility of dynamic content. This includes live regions to announce updates (such as form submission results and notifications), proper roles for modal dialogs, and toggle state attributes for interactive controls like expandable sections and switches.
We implement visible focus indicators for keyboard-only users, displayed as a 3px ring around interactive elements. Focus indicators are designed to be clearly visible in both light and dark themes, ensuring keyboard users always know where they are on the page.
Core customer-facing forms use programmatic labels and associate inline validation messages with their corresponding fields using aria-describedby and aria-invalid so screen reader users receive guidance in context. We continue auditing newer or highly specialized workflows as the product evolves.
Our modal and drawer patterns are designed to keep keyboard focus within the active surface while it is open, support the Escape key to dismiss overlays, and return focus to the triggering control when the surface closes.
We maintain color tokens with WCAG 2.1 AA contrast targets for standard text and core interactive elements, and we review exceptions as part of our ongoing accessibility audits. We do not rely on color alone to convey information; icons, patterns, and text labels are used alongside color where possible.
We respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. When users have indicated a preference for reduced motion in their operating system settings, animations and transitions throughout Formuley are minimized or disabled entirely.
Our mobile experience supports pinch-to-zoom functionality. We do not disable user scaling, ensuring that users who need to enlarge content on mobile devices can do so freely.
We are improving the accessibility of generated PDFs and labels. Where possible, we include structured text content in exported documents, but support may vary by document type and by the PDF viewer used to open the file.
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the platform are still being improved. We are aware of the following limitations and are actively working to address them:
