Procedure

Weigh Phase A (water, glycerin). Sprinkle xanthan gum while stirring to hydrate.

Weigh Phase C (Olivem 1000, coconut oil, almond oil, shea, CCT, cetyl alcohol, beeswax) together.

Heat both Phase A and Phase C to 75C in a water bath.

Pour Phase C into Phase A. Blend with stick blender for 5 minutes.

Allow to cool to below 40C, stirring regularly.

Add Phase D (lavender EO, Vitamin E, preservative). Mix well.

Check pH and adjust to 5.3 - 5.8.

Pour into sterilized jars. Label and date.

Tips & Notes

•Target pH: 5.3 - 5.8.
•Vitamin E is set at 1.0%, which stays within a practical antioxidant range for this type of product.
•This is a thick product-pour into jars while still warm for easier filling.
