Formuley Research publishes practical guidance about cosmetic formulation software, product records, laboratory workflows, supplier evidence, education, and beauty product operations. This page explains how that guidance is produced and what readers should—and should not—infer from it.

Formuley is a software company. Our research is brand-authored and may describe workflows that Formuley supports. It is not an independent review publication, a regulator, a law firm, a safety assessor, or a substitute for professional judgment. We disclose that relationship directly because readers should be able to evaluate both the evidence and the publisher’s commercial interest.

Scope

Our public resources are designed to answer operational questions such as:

What records should a formulation workflow preserve?
How can a buyer compare software with a repeatable demonstration?
Where do spreadsheet workflows become difficult to control?
What information helps a chemist, lab, school, supplier, or enterprise team make a decision?
Which public rules or regulator materials give context to a record requirement?

We do not publish individualized legal, medical, safety, or regulatory advice. We do not declare a formula safe, compliant, stable, adequately preserved, or suitable for sale. Laws and scientific expectations vary by product, market, claim, role, and time.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize sources in this order:

Laws, regulations, regulator guidance, official databases, and standards-body materials.
Original documentation from the organization responsible for a product, service, program, or technical claim.
Peer-reviewed research and established professional or educational institutions when the question requires scientific context.
Reputable trade associations and industry publications for market context or practitioner perspective.
Secondary summaries only when they add useful explanation and can be checked against a stronger source.

We link as close as possible to the material supporting a claim. A source link does not mean the source endorses Formuley. When primary sources are incomplete or a conclusion is our interpretation, we identify that limitation rather than presenting inference as official guidance.

How a resource is developed

Each flagship resource starts with a defined audience and decision. We identify the records, workflow stages, and failure modes involved, then check the public-source landscape. We separate broadly applicable operational practice from jurisdiction-specific obligations. The draft is reviewed for clarity, source fit, product-claim accuracy, privacy, and unsupported certainty.

An evaluation table or checklist is meant to make a decision reproducible. It is not evidence that every row is necessary for every reader. We encourage teams to label requirements as mandatory, useful, not applicable, or unresolved and to record who is accountable for the final decision.

When a resource discusses Formuley, statements should be confirmable in the current product, public page, documentation, or written commercial terms. Features can differ by plan, add-on, region, availability, or configuration. Readers should confirm critical capabilities in a working demonstration before buying.

Authorship and review dates

“Formuley Research” is an organizational author used for brand-led research and editorial resources. It is not a fictional person. The team may include product, formulation, regulatory, operations, design, or engineering contributors depending on the topic. The organization remains responsible for the published work.

Every flagship resource includes an original publication date and, after a material revision, an updated date. A material revision changes the evidence, conclusion, framework, or practical guidance. Typographic corrections do not necessarily change the review date. Search-engine timestamps should reflect real revisions rather than automated date changes.

Corrections policy

If a factual, sourcing, or product-description error is confirmed, we correct the page and review related resources that may repeat the claim. Material corrections receive a new updated date. When the nature of an error would affect a reader’s decision, we add a concise correction note or explain the changed conclusion.

Correction requests can be sent through the Formuley contact page. A useful request includes the page URL, the questioned statement, a primary source where available, and the requested correction. We assess evidence rather than whether the requester is a customer, partner, competitor, or critic.

Conflicts, rankings, and commercial content

Formuley may benefit when a reader chooses Formuley. We therefore avoid describing our own buyer guides as independent rankings. We do not purchase editorial conclusions, sell undisclosed inclusion in research tables, or promise search placement. If a placement or link is sponsored, that relationship should be disclosed.

We do not buy reviews, invent customers, fabricate quotations, create anonymous “expert” identities, or present internal marketing claims as third-party validation. The Federal Trade Commission’s rule and guidance on consumer reviews and testimonials provide an important baseline for truthful review practices in the United States.

Comparisons should use criteria a reader can test. A competitor’s capability, pricing, or policy should be sourced from current first-party material and dated. Because services change, readers should verify a high-stakes purchasing decision directly with each vendor.

Privacy and customer evidence

We never publish private customer formulas, product records, identities, usage patterns, or outcomes without appropriate authorization. We do not turn support conversations or private workspace activity into public case studies by default.

Aggregated product information may be considered only when the question is useful, the cohort is sufficiently large, re-identification risk has been reviewed, and the use is consistent with contractual and privacy commitments. A statistic must state its population, period, exclusions, calculation method, and limitations. If those conditions cannot be met, we do not publish it.

Use of AI

AI tools may assist with outlining, editing, query grouping, or identifying sources to inspect. A person remains responsible for selecting sources, checking claims, protecting confidential information, and approving publication. Generated text is not treated as evidence. A cited source must be opened and reviewed; an AI-generated citation is not accepted without verification.

We do not ask an AI system to invent customer evidence, test results, benchmarks, quotations, or regulatory conclusions. Resources should make uncertainty visible and direct readers to qualified professionals where the decision requires them.

Maintenance schedule

We review the central software evaluation guide and this methodology when a material source, product boundary, or editorial policy changes. Audience guides are reviewed on a rolling basis. A displayed review date means the content was assessed; it does not guarantee that every linked external page remains unchanged.

We also monitor whether overlapping pages answer the same intent. Consolidation decisions consider search performance, backlinks, usefulness, and topical overlap. We preserve valuable URLs or permanently redirect them to the closest substantive replacement. We do not delete a resource solely because it has not yet ranked.

What readers can expect

A Formuley Research resource should include a direct answer when appropriate, clear definitions, a practical framework, primary sources, an explicit revision date, and a next step. It should distinguish product evidence from aspiration and workflow support from professional approval.

That standard is intentionally demanding. It gives people and search systems a stable, inspectable explanation of who published the material, how it was formed, and where its limits are.
