Procedure

Weigh shea butter, coconut oil, and almond oil into a heat-safe bowl.

Melt gently in a water bath or double boiler at ~50C until fully liquid.

Remove from heat. Add Vitamin E and lavender essential oil. Stir well.

Place in the fridge for 30 - 60 minutes until semi-solid (like soft butter consistency).

Whip with an electric hand mixer for 5 - 10 minutes until fluffy and light.

Spoon into jars. Label and date.
Tips & Notes
- •NOTE: This is a whipped anhydrous body butter; the beginner guide covers emulsion-based products. No preservative or pH is needed.
- •The key to whipping is getting the right semi-solid consistency before mixing. Too liquid and it will not whip; too hard and it will be lumpy.
- •In warm climates, this may melt. Store in a cool place or add a small amount of beeswax for stability.
- •Lavender essential oil is capped at 1.5% to stay within the guide range for body products.
- •Shelf life: 3 - 6 months if stored properly (no water = no microbial growth).
