Prepare the formula
Open the raw materials in /ingredients and correct any missing or uncertain INCI name against the supplier evidence. Then open the formula from /formulas, check the composition, units, method, and available cost view, save it, and reopen it to confirm the current record.
Request review
On the formula page, choose Submit for Review. A team member with formula edit access in the active workspace can submit. Reviewers open /formulas/review-queue to see submissions from that workspace. The submitter cannot approve their own submission.
Decide and revise
An authorized reviewer opens the submission, compares the material identity and composition with the intended product, and chooses Approve formula review or Request revision. A revision request requires specific feedback. The author updates the formula and resubmits; the queue retains the earlier decision history. If formula content or a linked material fact such as INCI or cost changes after submission, the current review becomes stale and must be repeated.
Formula review records an R&D team decision. It does not approve a batch, release a product, validate supplier evidence, or replace qualified safety and regulatory work. Manufacturing and client handoff keep their own approval controls.
AI assistance and policy
Ask Formuley can help locate the saved formula, explain missing evidence, or run advisory screening when the plan and organization AI policy permit. Organization administrators can review those controls under Team settings. It cannot make the human review decision or write the approval. If AI is disabled by your organization, use the same formula and team queue manually. School assignments keep their separate instructor queue and school AI policy.
