Change student questions for one assignment

Choose whether students can start new questions for an assignment.

Steps

Open the assignment details.
Select or clear Allow new “Ask your instructor” requests for this assignment.
Choose Save Details and check the school setting shown beside the control.

New questions follow both rules: they are available only when the school and assignment each allow them.

Existing threads are not deleted.

Publish a class update and choose its timing and email delivery.

Prepare coursework, answer student questions, and review submissions.
