What you will accomplish
Run assigned classes, publish a clear assignment, review submitted formula work, and record an instructor decision with useful feedback.
Before you start
- Open
/education/classesand confirm the intended class appears under My Classes. - Instructor access is scoped to assigned teaching records. Reviewers and teaching assistants can read and review only within their granted scope.
- Business routes such as billing, suppliers, invoices, integrations, team management, and unrelated organizations are outside the school teaching shell.
- Open the class workspace
From /education/classes, open a class and review its roster, assignments, submissions, announcements, settings, and analytics as permitted. If the class is missing, ask an education administrator to verify instructor assignment.
- Create and publish an assignment
Open the class Assignments tab. Create the title, brief, instructions, due date, assignment type, required notes, and any allowed AI settings. New work can remain Draft until it is ready; use Publish to make it available to students and Unpublish when it should no longer be open.
- Review submissions in context
Use the class submissions page or /education/review-queue. Search by student, class, assignment, formula, or status. Open the assignment detail to review the formula snapshot, student notes, rubric context, prior feedback, and any AI review summary.
- Record the review decision
Choose Approved when the work meets the classroom decision standard. Choose Needs Revision when the student should update and resubmit; Required feedback must explain what needs to change. Select Save Review to record the decision.
Check My Formula and AI review summaries are formative evidence. The instructor makes the final decision; automated output is not a grade or release approval.
- Follow the revision loop
Monitor Needs Revision work in Review Queue. When the student resubmits, review the updated record and its history before changing the decision. Keep private grading detail in the review workflow rather than a class-wide announcement.
Check your work
- The assignment is Published only when students should act on it.
- The due date, instructions, and submission expectations are visible in the student view.
- Every Needs Revision decision contains actionable feedback.
- Approved work reflects instructor review, not only an automated score.
- Review Queue filters and counts match the class submissions you expect.
If something does not look right
- If a class is absent, confirm instructor assignment and institution context.
- If review is read-only, confirm your role includes review for that class or assignment.
- If a student cannot submit, review the assignment's published state, deadline policy, and enrollment.
- If AI output conflicts with your review, use the formula evidence and institution policy; the human instructor decision controls.
Next steps
