What you will accomplish

Review products, buyers, stock, paid orders, fulfillment, shipments, returns, and refunds for the selected website without mixing records from another business or site.

Before you start

  • Open Commerce and confirm the selected website, or choose All websites when you need the business-wide view.
  • Use All websites only when your role allows a business-wide view.
  • Make sure the product, SKU, and inventory location belong to the website you intend to operate.

Prepare the catalog and stock

  1. Open Products at /commerce/catalog.
  2. Review storefront images, selling status, options, price, and visibility for the selected website.
  3. Open Inventory at /commerce/inventory.
  4. Select the intended SKU and location before recording stock, reservations, quarantine, or adjustments.
  5. Resolve low-stock or unavailable states before opening paid checkout for an item you cannot fulfill.

Work an order

  1. Open Orders at /commerce/orders.
  2. Choose the order by its buyer-facing reference and confirm the website, customer, payment, and total.
  3. Review the order lines and saved checkout details.
  4. Record the permitted fulfillment and shipment action.
  5. Use the order’s receipt or packing-slip actions when an operational copy is needed.
  6. If a cancellation, return, complaint, or refund is required, open the action on that exact order. A confirmed refund returns through the original payment method when supported.

Review the customer relationship

Open Customers at /commerce/customers to review order history, relationship value, communication state, and connected requests. Commerce customer records stay with the business that owns the sale. Accepted formulation or consulting work continues in the connected client program and Client Portal rather than changing the buyer into an internal teammate.

Check your work

  • The selected website, order, SKU, and inventory location all match.
  • The order payment state is confirmed before fulfillment.
  • Stock changes appear against the intended SKU and location.
  • Shipment or refund actions are recorded on the exact order.
  • Customer communication follows the customer’s marketing consent and order status.
  • Another website or organization cannot be reached by changing an identifier in the address.

If something does not look right

  • If an order or customer is missing, confirm the selected website and your Commerce permissions.
  • If an item cannot be fulfilled, check available, reserved, and quarantined stock for the selected SKU and location.
  • If a refund action is unavailable, confirm the payment is eligible and your role can manage money for the business.
  • If a product shows the wrong price or status, confirm you edited the listing for the selected website rather than only the source product.
  • If an old link no longer opens a record, return to the list and choose the record again from the selected website.
