Formuley Edu shows different stages of work so a draft is not mistaken for an approved result. The assignment is the best place to see where a student's work stands; the portfolio and credential areas show what can be carried forward after review.
Read an assignment status
- Not started or in progress: The student can read the brief and prepare work. Nothing has been accepted for review yet.
- Submitted: The student's work is waiting for instructor review. It is not automatically approved.
- Needs revision: The instructor has returned feedback. The student should update the linked work and resubmit from the same assignment.
- Approved: The instructor has accepted the assignment against the class requirements. Any portfolio or credential step still follows the school's rules.
The visible labels may vary slightly by class and assignment. When in doubt, open the assignment to read the latest feedback and action.
Follow the evidence trail
An assignment can connect a brief, formula, student notes, observations, checks, revision history, and instructor feedback. These records help students show their reasoning and help instructors see what changed. A planned test should stay marked as planned until evidence is actually available.
Check My Formula and other guided checks can help a student identify questions. They are not a safety approval, final grade, or external test result. Instructor judgment remains the review decision.
Use the portfolio
Students can open Portfolio to review available learning evidence and case-study material. An approved assignment may support a portfolio item, but not every submission becomes a shareable record. Follow your school's visibility and approval rules before sharing work beyond the class.
If a portfolio item is missing, open the related assignment first: confirm its review status, that the expected work is linked, and that any required evidence has been approved. Then ask the instructor or school administrator to check the school's portfolio settings.
Understand credentials
A certificate or other credential is separate from an assignment and portfolio item. It appears only when the school has enabled the relevant workflow and an authorized person has issued it. Course completion, portfolio readiness, and credential issuance should not be treated as the same event.
View progress as staff
Instructors use Teaching, the class Submissions area, and Review to follow their students' work. School administrators use Overview, People, Learning, and Insights to see class and program patterns. Open the underlying record before making an academic decision from a summary count.
