Turn student AI coaching on or off

Choose whether students can start AI coaching requests across your school.

Steps

  1. Open Setup → AI policy, then Adjust AI policy.
  2. Select or clear Student AI access (school-wide).
  3. Choose Save AI policy. Reopen the section and confirm the saved value.
  4. Tell instructors about the policy; they may make an assignment stricter, but cannot override a school-wide off setting.

The saved school setting matches your decision.

Keep in mind

Turning student AI off blocks new student model requests; it does not remove past work, prevent instructor review, or necessarily disable repeatable non-AI formula checks.
