Costs, pricing, and margin guardrails

Use costs, pricing calculator, and Profit Guardian together so formulation economics and launch pricing stay consistent.

Overview

Commercial confidence in Formuley should come from three linked surfaces:

  • /costs
  • /pricing-calculator
  • /profit-guardian

These routes should all reflect the same cost basis and unit assumptions.

  1. Confirm cost inputs in /costs.
  2. Model selling assumptions in /pricing-calculator.
  3. Monitor the real-world margin position in /profit-guardian.

What should not drift

  • formula or batch cost basis
  • unit count and pack size assumptions
  • target margin expectations
  • pricing decisions used in profitability monitoring

If the pricing calculator and Profit Guardian tell different stories, resolve the cost basis before using either output for launch decisions.

  • /costs
  • /pricing-calculator
  • /profit-guardian
  • /reports/margin
  • /reports/profit-loss
